Q: Is it absolutely imperative to attend Church every Sunday?

A: Attending Church helps one to remain focused and keep one in touch with God loving people. Church provides spiritual environment and God loving companions. However, missing Church does not mean God will hate you. One cannot obtain salvation just by visiting church every Sunday. To obtain salvation, one should do good deeds, love God, and keep God in his/her mind for as long as possible everyday. One can do so at Church or meditating on God at home.

Days do not have any significance in Sikhism. Sunday is no better of a day to visit Church as compared to any other day of the week. Sikh Church is open 7 days a week, 24 hrs a day. One can visit Church anytime he/she feels like. Many Sikhs visit church during the weekday just to be in a spiritual environment.
