  • You are our Lord and Master; to You, I offer this prayer. All of our body and soul are Yours. You are our mother and father and we are Your children. With Your grace, there are so many joys! No one knows Your limits. You God are Highest of the High. The whole creation is strung by Your thread. Everyone came from You and is under Your command. You alone know Your state and extent. Nanak, Your servant, is forever a sacrifice to You (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 268).

  • He alone obeys Your will, O Lord, unto whom You are merciful. That alone is devotional worship, which is pleasing to You. You are the Cherisher of all beings. O my Sovereign Lord, You are the support of the Saints. Whatever pleases You, they accept it. You are the sustenance of their minds and bodies. You are kind and compassionate, the treasure of mercy, the fulfiller of our hopes. You are the love and life of all of Your devotees; You are beloved of Your devotees. You are unfathomable, infinite, exalted and highest of all. There is no one else like You. This is my prayer, O Lord: May I never forget You, O Provider of peace. If it is pleasing to You, I shall sing Your glorious praises day and night and with each and every breath. Nanak asks for the peace of Your Naam, O Lord; If it is pleasing to You, may I attain this wish (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 747).
