For example, when watching tv soaps or films normally there are Hindu prayers on, but is it okay still listening to them? and also if you sing along a bit to it? it can get really catchy that i sometimes sing. I do listen to Sikh hymms too.

Answer:
It is ok to recite any prayer or hymn as long as it is addressed to One Primal God. Some Hindu prayers are dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, and other deities. As long as the prayer is dedicated to One God and not to any other deity, it is ok to recite no matter which religion it belongs to.

How do Sikhs look at people from other religions?
Can idol worship of Hindu deities (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, etc.) lead to salvation?
