Q: Some Sikh eat meat, why is that? Also how can one get protein and fats if not eating meat?

Answer: There are Sikhs that do eat meat. It is their personal choice. It does not mean Sikhism instructs to eat meat. Actions of some Sikhs do not define Sikhism. Protein can be consumed from greek yogurt, cottage cheese, lentils, soy, beans, and milk. Fat can be consumed via nuts, avocado, dairy and milk products which do not go into killing the animal such as: milk, butter, ghee, and cheese.
